Mission Statement:
The mission of the Michigan Association for Community College Educator Preparation is to advocate for high quality teacher education and educator support programs.
Association Goals:
- Identify and share best practices in community college teacher education transfer programs and educator support programs at the local, state, and national levels.
- Provide a forum for discussion of issues in teacher education and educator support programs.
- Improve articulation among educator preparation programs in K-12, community colleges, and universities.
- Encourage recruitment and support of underrepresented populations in teacher education and educator support programs.
- Promote careers in Education through the Michigan Human Services Career Pathway.
- Promote high standards and professional development for teacher education faculty and staff.
- Promote and disseminate research related to educator preparation.
- Collaborate with university, state, and national departments of education and other professional organizations.
- Disseminate information on funding sources that will support the mission of MACCEP.
